Hi all,
I have a situation where in I need to disable a report link during a particular period of the day on the reporting server.
We have a dedicated reporting server where data from the live db is copied and restored on a nightly basis. This data is used for building the various data marts for our OLAP cubes and we use Cognos for reporting. Now there is a request to get real time sales reports from the production server.
I dont want to open my production db for reporting purposes. What i plan is to create and publish a report on the reporting server using a data source pointing to the production server. This way I can restrict the number of users and ensure that the query is optimized. We have a lot of high resource intensive process that happens towards the close of business hours especially on the DB side. So i dont want anyone to run this report during these hours. I guess the best way is to disable the report link during these hours.
Is there a possible way to achieve this. Any other suggestions are welcome
Thanks in advance

I've never done it, but there is a Hide In List View property on the reports in Report Manager so I'd assume you could set this programatically using PowerShell or .NET.
