I have a primary and a secondary SQL 2005 cluster setup and I just had to fail from one server to the other receintly and I noticed that when I did that the once passive and now active server started synchronizing the arrays in Server Raid Manager. Is this normal for this to happen seeing I have two physical servers and two exp400 chassis daisy chained together and they are connected via SCSI cables. Each node has two 6M Controllers in it that connect via a SCSI cable to the direct attached storage chassis.
I do not see any errors in the logs and I am thinking that maybe this is a normal procedure seeing that the passive server's scsi controllers loose connection to the disk arrays for up to 6 months or more and then when that passive server becomes the active server then this sync that is happening may be normal.
If anyone can advise I would greatly appreciate it.

what os is that 05 sql cluster on? I've never seen that type of behavior.

Ack, here is a good tool to troubleshoot cluster problems with hardware if there are no related errors on the cluster manager or sql server logs
