  when selecting the option - new proj - Analysis services Project gives an error as -

  ---------------------------

  'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0\Common7\IDE\PrivateAssemblies\Business Intelligence Projects\AnalysisServicesProject.dwproj' cannot be opened because its project type (.dwproj) is not supported by this version of the application.

  To open it, please use a version that supports this type of project.

  If you have a .sln, then open that instead.
