The first question is IIS6 installed and configured and are you running it as x64 or x86 because IIS6 can only run in one mode.

  • Could you please tell me, how to check that ?

    Thank you in advance,

The first place to check is the Admin tool in control panel if you cannot find that then you have to go to add remove program in control panel and click on add remove Windows component you may need you Windows CD click IIS and Window will add it you need to configure it before you try to run SSRS.

  • Hi ,

Verifiy the IIS server version, If IIS is 32 upgrade the 32 bit to 64 bit both IIS server and Report server has to be same configuration.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Veeren.
Ignore this if you feel i am Wrong. 😉

The problem with this advice is if IIS6 is being used for other older application that must run in x86 that is 32bits mode then you cannot do it because IIS6 cannot run in both 32bits and 64bits mode.
