Combine individual days into a month summary

    I am really new to SSRS and attempting a matrix report which will display multiple items shipped on multiple days. However i dont want to have a value for each day of e.g. February, instead i want a combined total for February.

    currently my report looks like:

    |Feb1st|Feb2nd|Feb3rd|

    Item# |

    A 2 0 3

    B 1 0 0

    C 4 6 0

    D 0 8 1

    I would like it to look like:

    |February|March|April|

    Item# |

    A 5

    B 1

    C 10

    D 9

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Hi,

    Use the Column Group as "month"(Like Feb,March,Apr) and Items as Row group and In the details use the sum(items). Ihope it will work let me know if u have any problem
