Replicate from SQL 2000 to SQL Server 2008

    Hi all,

    I'm tasked to setup transaction replication from SQL 2000 to SQL server 2008

    my question is the replication between SQL 2000 and 08 is supported and are there any issue i should know before start setup the replication

    any help will be graetly appriciated

    Have you setup replication before? If not, be sure you read about it in Books Online.

    The publisher and distributor should be on 2000, but if you are just sending data, you should be OK. be aware that the SQL language has changed and potentially there are column or table names that you might need to change, or enclose in brackets, to have them work in 2008.
