From Books Online (BOL) :
Members of the db_ddladmin fixed database role can run any Data Definition Language (DDL) command in a database.
So, answer, yes.

Books Online should be able to answer all your questions about the fixed server and database roles.

Hi,
I wonder if you could clarify for me that if i provide a programmer DDL_Admin on a database does this allow them to execute a stored procedure that they have just created against the database they are mapped to with DDL_Admin permissions.
Only it gives them pretty much all they need i.e.Members of the db_ddladmin fixed database role can run any Data Definition Language (DDL) command in a database.
Yet i still have to explicitly grant them Execute permissions on the their SP.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
🙂
