Will it cause a problem to create a new snapshot after replication has already been setup and initial snapshot was previously created?

    Replication was already setup and initial snapshot was created at that time.

    Replication had failed and had stopped running.

    I have started the snapshot agent to run the snapshot job, creating a new snapshot.

    Will this cause any problems, to create a new snapshot?

    Upon completion of the new snapshot, I intend to start the logreader and distributor and then test to see if all components are running and replication is working again.

    The log reader should be running while you run the snapshot so no transactions are missed between the snapshot finishing and you restarting the log reader. Be aware that the snapshot locks each article\table while it transfers the table data to bcp files, if this is production you might have to wait until off hours to run the snapshot.
