Server front-end NAS back end?

    A manager proposed using Windows server 2003 as a front end for sql 2005 and storing the production databases on NAS devices.

    I have no experience in this area. This would be for an OLTP application with about 60 users.

    My gut reaction is this won't work. Anybody have any feedback?

    Yes, it's nuts, unless you've verified that the NAS supports write order preservation and write-through guarantees
