T-SQL Fundamentals ?

  • Is the "t-sql fundamentals" book by itzik ben-gan applicable to MSSQL only or can I also apply it to Oracle 10g or 11g?

    ...thanks

  • Some of it will carry over. Some of it won't. As much as I love that book, I'd personally recommend getting an Oracle Book instead of reading that one for Oracle.

  • Fair enough. Thanks for your reply, Seth.

I was hoping to kill two birds with one stone. 🙂

  • I suspect pretty strongly you're looking at maybe 30% cross-over. Chapters 1, 4, 5, half of 6, half of 7, 9, 10, are all going to be pretty different than the material for Oracle.
