I know this sounds weird to ask this, but i am helpless
Can anyone explain what these tasks are
Metadata:
1.Add CONTRB_DISTB_FLG to GDW physical layer for DWV00050_IMC_CCYYMM_FACT
2.Add Contributing Distb Flag to GDW business model in Dim – Snapshot Codes folder
3.Add Contributing Distb Count, Contributing Distb Rate, and Contributing Distb Productivity to GDW business model in Fact – IMC Snapshot using logic provided earlier
4.Add Contributing Distb Flag to GDW presentation model’s “IMC Snapshot Folder”
5.Add Contributing Distb Count, Contributing Distb Rate and Contributing Distb Productivity to GDW presentation model’s “Snapshot Facts “ folder
6.Add descriptions to mouse-over elements for new metrics.
I am unable to understand some terms here like GDW Physical layer, GDW business model in DIM, GDW business model in FACT, IMC snapshot, snapshot codes folder, IMC Snapshot Folder, mouse-over elements.

This is my task given by my boss
Then really you need to go back to him/her and ask for clarification.
No one here will be able to help you.

Looks to me like he's asking you to do some documentation. At a guess, some of it goes into tables, some of it into documents, and some of it into a "mouse over" event in an application.
I know how to set up a "mouse over" in MS Access, but not anything else. It's just what comes up when you put the mouse pointer over a button or other form object.

The terminology will be business-specific. For example, adding something to the "physical layer" in something else, looks to me like you have a table called "DWV00050_IMC_CCYYMM_FACT", and it has a property in it that indicates something is in the "physical layer". You would need to add "CONTRB_DISTB_FLG" to that, whatever that is.
Really, outside of your employer, nobody is going to know what those mean in that context.

In datawarehouse server i have to add column called CONTRB_DISTB_FLG to the view DWV00050_IMC_CCYYMM_FACT
I can do it.
But specifically there are two different sections which my boss gave
1) Datawarehouse Server
2) Metadata
I can understand the things in Datawarehouse server, but in metadata its too tough to understand which i gave.
Anyways i have to try to understand to the max before asking my boss
