Backup Error

    I see this error massage in event viewer ,at the same time my backups are

    failing to finish.what does this error stating to us.where i need to look for root

    cause .

    3041 :

    BACKUP failed to complete the command BACKUP log

    [XXXX] TO VIRTUAL_DEVICE='VDI_A3EB2B4F-4A58-44F6-AB96-A4736841C38F_0',

    VIRTUAL_DEVICE='VDI_A3EB2B4F-4A58-44F6-AB96-A4736841C38F_1',

    VIRTUAL_DEVICE='VDI_A3EB2B4F-4A58-44F6-AB96-A4736841C38F_2'

    with blocksize=65536, stats=5, maxtransfersize=

    or

    18210 :

    BackupMedium::ReportIoError: write failure on backup device 'VDI_A3EB2B4F-4A58-44F6-AB96-A4736841C38F_1'. Operating system error 112(There is not enough space on the disk.).

    Hi,

    This means your backup device has no more space (e.g. error 112).

    Clear some space and you should be good afterwards.

    Database need 2 gb space on disk to finish backup but on the disk has like 25 gb free space why it is happening then , after failing i rerun the job it runs successfully without any problem.

    its looks weired.

    Umm....strange.

    Any other backups running on system or other storage hungry applications?
