convert sql 2008 developer edition to standard edition(question)

    Does anyone know if you can convert sql 2008 developer edition to 2008 standard edition without doing a complete reinstall?

    Can't be done.

    Detach dbs, script logins, uninstall, reinstall.

    Fortunatly this was not on a live server but during the setup of a new one so we were not too far into it. Thanks for the info
