Linking to SMS 2003 Database

    Has anyone managed to view data from their SMS 2003 system via SQL Server? I guess this would be done by setting up the SMS server as a linked server. SMS uses WMI to expose its data, so I'm not sure what provider to use.

    Hi there,

    I haven't moved the SMS site database, I just want to run queries on it (in its current location) from our company SQL Server installation. I expect this to involve setting up a linked server, but my attempts so far have 'failed to connect'.
