This might sound like a silly question, but I'm very new to SS. We are looking to purchase an SS standard edition, and our IT personnel suggested to purchase a 5CAL licenses. Basically we intend to install the software in one 64-bit desktop workstation, and have 4-5 users accessing the databases.
1. Does that mean we need to install the software on all 4-5 machines or just one?
2. Can we access the dB remotely?
3. How can we configure it, so multiple users can access the same dB at the same time (concurrently)?
4.Finally, Do you recommend any vendor (price wise... TX, USA), or just buy it from MS?
Thanks.
