Hi,
When i load my excel sheet onto a connection manager in an excel source and preview the data present in my excel sheet then i get integer values shown as NULL in the preview.
The column is an alphanumeric column which has data in the form of text. But on some of the column cells the value is an integer which should be read as varchar() but instead the preview of the sheet shows me NULL for those records. I have already tried changing the format of the excel sheet cells as general and other combination but it didn't work. This is also true vice` versa e.g when the data is numeric in initial cells then alphanumeric values is shown NULL.
Is there any solution to this problem ? Please help it is creating a lot of problems for me.
Also provide alternative solutions if this cannot be worked out.
Thanks for the help.
