I'm on a Delta non-stop flight from Atlanta to Seattle for the PASS Summit. This is the first time I've used wi-fi on a plane. Delta's service gogo (which still means something else to some people I suspect) had a free trial that I'm taking advantage of - and the trial didn't make me enter a credit card.

I'm using the Acer Aspire One netbook that I picked up from Andy Warren's TSQL training course in Orlando. I recommend Andy's training with no reservations to any of my SQL Server peers. The netbook fits nicely on the tray. I'm flying coach so the space counts. The performance seems good for the browser-based work I'm doing. The little dual-core intel Atom processor and the one gig of ram are doing the job. I loaded Evernote and Dropbox on the netbook and to start will really try to stick with web-based apps as was mainly intended for a little machine like this.

Anyhow, I left my phone in my car at the airport - and I don't want to be without for the whole week in Seattle - so my first priority after getting the car rental is to find a Verizon store and try to get a phone.

For those of you looking for interesting things to do while in Seattle, I did a blog post on "side quests" that you should check out. One event to note from a responder is that the Seattle Art Museum is throwing a crazy big party Friday night for FREE that should include various kinds of entertainment, free admission and so forth.

Also, Thursday is Seattle's monthly first Thursdsy of the month downtown art walk - also free. So check it!
