Hi,
I had a db maint job scheduled previously and running successfully.
Now i need to change the backup location pointing to some other server (server\folder).
While modifying this in db maint paln i got an error as
"complete database backup directory is invalid in sql server 2000 "
Please provide your suggestions to resolve this?
Thanks for your help.

Are you pointing to a remote drive? I'm not sure you can do that in the maint plan, or that you want to do this. If there's any network hiccup, the backup will fail.

Here's the link to an MS URL that explains how to do this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555128
But as Steve Jones indicated, I'm not sure it's a good idea to do this for the reason that he indicated. Any hiccup network connectivity and the backup jobs will fail. On production systems, I almost always insist on a separate local drive array for database backups.
