"Old" posts with New Responses are not part of Recent Posts>>Posts Added Today

  • not sure if this is an issue or by design, so I just wanted some clarification.

some smart user found the search feature, and added a comment to this post today:

Finding non Basic Latin characters in Unicode...

the original thread was started 09/17/2009, as you can see. I got the typical notification email because I had posted to it previously.

He posted today, i followed up with a post. no big deal.

When jumping back to Recent Posts>>Posts Added Today i noticed this thread does not appear as part of the list...it is NOT a "cached" issue, as i posted to other threads AFTER that post, and those other new threads appeared.

so it appears "Old" posts with follow up replys will not be visible; is that by design to limit the dataset? or is the SQL that gets recent posts checking the original post data, and not the follow up posts date?

  • I don't think it is by design. I have seen The Thread not show up in the Active Threads (recent posts) at times.
