I have 2 SSRS standard servers, configured as a Report server farm, I can connect to each individually without issue.
when I configure NLB for a single point of access to these servers and connect to the VIP I receive "Error; the request failed with HTTP status 401: unauthorized.
I have changed the RSreportserver.config file to reference the NLB name and address.
Any help is appreciated.

Have you made sure that identity impersonate is set to true?

did you solve this? I have almost identical setup and I need to generate validation key to support state validation (as per msdn). Trying to find the way to generate this key. I've done some research, but couldn't find solution.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am having a similar problems. I setup NLB with the two nodes but when I try to navigate to the Cluster IP it does not load the RS pages. On the two RS Nodes I can access the /Reports and /Reportserver pages fine. However, when I try from the Cluster IP it does not work.
Let's say the address are 1.1.1.1/Reports and 1.1.1.1/Reportserver for the cluster.
1.1.1.1/Reports - says HTTP 404 Not Found
1.1.1.1/Reportserver - says Service Unavailable. I have verified the services are started and even restarted the services and the server itself.
I have modified the rsreportserver.config file as follows:
<Hostname>http://1.1.1.1/Reports
<UrlRoot>http://1.1.1.1/ReportServer</UrlRoot>
<ReportServerUrl>http://1.1.1.1/reportserver</ReportServerUrl>
I have NLB right now set up for all ports on uni-cast traffic.
Any help would be appreciated.
