Database mail configuration error in sqlserver 2005

    Hi experts

    i have configured database mail in my sqlserver 2005

    and i tried to congigure every thing i configured but finally iam getting error

    o/p is

    mail queued

    not able to send any mails

    pls suggest for further steps

    Do you have permissions set on the out going SMTP server to give your MS SQL 2005 server to send mail via this SMTP server ???

    You configured it incorrectly that is the most possible reason.Also check your Outgoing Mail server( SMTP) is working Also check the IP address is correctly given in SMTP

    Just check the configuration as said below

    Account Name= Give a name u like

    Outgoing Mail server (SMTP)

    email address=yourmailaddress

    Displayname=anyname

    Replay email=yourmailaddress

    server name= Here u have to specify the server IP address which your email is used (ask your administrator)

    Port number = Used by the your emailaddress

    SMTP Authentication

    Windows authentication will do fine

    What error is recorded in the Database Mail error log?
