Index DB - How often ?

    I have a 30Gb DB and add approx 300 Mb of data daily.

    How often should i reindex the DB ?

    I currently have approx 1 million records and it takes about 6 minutes to do a reindex.

    I would like to improve on this time!

    This is on a dual quad core dell2950 with 16 Gb of RAM, with a 64-bit o/s.

    It is not a set period of time for reindexing and reorg. It depends on the fragmentation. There are quite a few threads here in SSC how you will be able analyze when it is time to do a re org or a re index.
