I've only had to register once. Maybe you're doing something wrong?

The only time I've seen similar to this issue is when I try to read my SSC stuff from my phone. My phone is apparently not saving cookies, so each and every single time I access something, I get prompted for credentials.
But - that's a phone limitation, not a site issue.

One thing that occurred to me is that maybe you have your bookmark set to the register page, instead of the home page. That might make it look like it needs you to register every time.

I have to re-type my credentials every day for the first time I log in. My new job has their workstations locked down pretty tight and they have a group policy that clears cookies each day. Again, not a site issue.

Yeah, that makes sense. Still not an issue with registering every time.

A good reason for the OP to be a bit more professional and expalin what the problem is instead of ranting about how much the site s****.

Always good to introduce yourself to people by telling them how much you hate them. Leaves a lasting impression.

The responses are pretty funny. Actually chuckled out loud.
For the OP, the emails get sent within a minute or two. It's a process that runs every minute, so worse case is that you shouldn't be waiting more than 59 seconds for one. That, of course, depends on your email system receiving them and not filtering them out.
The site will write a cookie, and save credentials. I never log in unless I get a new machine, and it works on IE and Firefox, on my Win 7, Vista, and XP machines. If you have a specific issue, and would like to discuss it, you can note it here, or email the webmaster.
