I am trying to schedule a report in SQL 2005 Reporting Services, but I'm not sure how to do it. Since I can't find the options, I'm thinking its because I am on SQL 2005 Standard Edition. Is this correct?
Thanks,
Dave:)

What do you think with „schedule report“ ?

I don't know that's why I am asking.

🙂
If you wan't to execute query in some particular time you should look in BOL for WAIT FOR functions

When in a report, you should see "New Subscription" at the top of the report. Click this and you will see the subscription options, including scheduling for said subscription.
If you do not see "New Subscription" then you do not have rights to create a subscription for that report.

I went to the report and found "New Subscription" and "New Data Driven Subscription", but it is grayed out. I'm thinking its because I'm on the standard edition.

Data Driven Subscriptions are available in Developer and Enterprise, so I am sure that is your issue.

This is also true on 2008.

Thanks, I think that is the case.

You have a security problem, most likely, because SSRS in the Standard edition does have subscription capabilities. All I run here is Standard edition and I have subscriptions running just fine.

I may be mistaken, but I think the original post was asking about the Data Driven Subscriptions as opposed to just Subscriptions. No question about it, the Standard Edition does give the ability to use Subscriptions but it does not give the ability to use Data Driven Subscriptions (which is the piece that is greyed out).

Do you see a "New Subscription" button?

Yes, I see it. But, it is grayed out.

Have you ran the "reporting services configuration" tool on the server?
"start, programs, sql server 2005, configuration tools"

Yes, I do. I installed SQL 2005 standard editition. I went through and configured everything in reporting service configuration. I'm running it on a VM, so I'm going to try re-intalling it in hopes I find what I missed.
