Hi,
I want to know what gurus of replication think wrt having Single Distribution DB or multiple distribution dbs for a single instance of sql server.

Multiple distribution DB's , i dont think so.
Placing distributor DB will depend on which type of
replication you opt for Push or pull.

Each publication can only have one distributor with one distribution DB. The real question you should think about, is do you want a local distributor or a remote distributor.
The answer to this questions depends, among other things of the type of replication (transactional vs merge), push or pull subscribers, activity and resources of your server etc.
