Hi,
I have closed Object Explorer in SSMS 2008. I tried to open it again through menu View->Object Explorer or pressing F8, but does not work. How can I see again Object Explorer?
Thanks

Be sure that you Object Explorer has active the button of Auto Hide! When you press F8 or going from View menu maybe the OE is appear but with AutoHide option so check it!

The Object Explorer tab is closed not hidden. I closed the Object Explorer tab from X button.
Even though Object Explorer is closed, it should be displayed when F8 is pressed or it is selected from View menu no matter it was set Hide or AutoHide. This way work other tabs like Properties or Templates. I cannot view Object Explorer tab anymore whatever I do.

Ok!
Try with these steps:
1. In SSMS, click Tools->Customize;
2. Select Commands tab, click on Rearrange Commands...
3. Select View in Menu Bar list
4. If Object Explorer is not there, click the Add... button, select View,
choose Object Explorer in the Commands list and click OK!
Let me know if it helps you!?
:hehe:

I tried but it did not work.
I managed to solve it. After selecting from menu Window->Floating, Object Explorer tab appeared.
Thanks for your help
