In my AS 2005 database there are many dimensions that are not used by any of the cubes. This seemed to occur after migration from AS 2000 to AS 2005. It makes the database very messy and difficult to manage.
Is there a way to list the unused dimensions (so that I can remove them), or to list only the dimensions that are used?

You might want to take a look at the Dimension Usage report that is available as part of BIDS Helper on CodePlex - http://bidshelper.codeplex.com/[/url]. This add-in for BIDS has lots of really useful features for SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS.
Another item to look at would be Analysis Services Stored Procedure Project[/url] for 2005 that you could use to probably run some discover commands. In SSAS 2008 you can utilize the DMVs to get at this information querying the rowsets.
Otherwise there are documentation tools that you could demo or purchase like BI Documenter and sqlspec[/url].
