I have an instance of SQL Express 2005 SP2 in which I need to setup replication for. The replication components were not installed during the initial installation of SQL EXPR. I just need to know what the proper method of installing the replication components is for an existing installation of sql express.
Once on the "Feature Selection" page in the installation routine I'm unable to select "Replication" only within the Database Services components. If I select Replication from the components list then "Data Files" and "Shared Tools" are both automatically selected. I don't necessarily need to install the data files and shared tools components since they should already be installed. Is there a way to just install the replication components or should I ignore that the Data Files and Shared Tools components are automatically selected?
Thanks

Thanks for the link. The replication components are not installed by default but they are available. I just didn't select for replication objects to be installed during the initial install.
Basically, I just need to know if I might encounter some problems if I run through the intaller again, this time selecting the replication components. By doing so, the "data files" component will be reinstalled. Will this pose a problem?
Thanks
