We are shortly going to be implementing a 3rd SQL Server at my work place that will be used as our Reporting Server. I had the idea of taking advantage of this by using the 3rd server as a Witness for mirroring our databases for automatic failover.
I just wanted to know if this is feasable?

Chris, you should have no trouble using it as a witness but, as everything in life, it depends.... As the witness it is basically making sure both the principal and mirror are available. Therefore the limiting factor will be the load expected from your report server (is it just hosting the reports or will it host the data being repored on too? Will it include any ETL/Load jobs, etc).

I'm planning on only using the reporting server to store and publish the reports. If that means I can use the server as a witness as well then great.
