I am very new to sql 2005 Reporting service tool ..
I have installed IIS and Reporting service tool ..but while logging in from mgmt studio
it shows HTTP status 404 : not found... (error file attached)
I have checked with sql server help ..and as per his guideline
"HTTP 404 File or Directory Not Found
This error indicates that there is a problem with the virtual directory configuration. In IIS, navigate to the report server virtual directory, and right-click Properties. On the Virtual Directory tab, click Configuration, select the extension, and click Edit. Make sure that the Check that the file exists or Verify that the file exists check box is cleared."
but there is no "extension" file exists..(error file attached)
Kindly help ...

Interesting, I try to log on by management studio and never success.
Please try config it by Reporting Service configuration (start > Programs > Microsoft SQL server 2005> Configuration Tools > Reporting services Configuration)
As I remember you need to configure it from there before you use it.
For upload report project use http://servername/reportserver in the project property target server URL.
I create report by this way.
Hope this help.

It is beyond my knowledge now. Please test in the test server.
Look like you have the problem with IIS.
Sorry.

Hi,
I fixed my 404 - File or directory not found problem in my Report Manager by making sure the correct ASP.NET version was selected in my Virtual Directory in IIS. Go to IIS, Default Web Site, Reports - right click Properties - ASP.NET tab, select the correct version of ASP.NET, in my case 2.0.50727. That seemed to have fixed my problem.
