How can we Kow the sqlserver installed in widows box is licenced or not
and
How can i Know the which version installed (w/o using qurry analyzer

Hi,

If you right click the Server node, in the Object Explorer window of SQL Server Management Studio, the information regarding the currently installed version of SQL Server 2005 will be displayed on the general tab.

You may also find the following article of use, it describes how SQL Server 2005 stores, or rather does not store by default, the licensing information.
