Patrick Leblanc is the event lead for SQLSaturday #17 coming up soon on August 1st. Patrick emailed me just a couple weeks ago to get things started, it had been in discussion for a while and turns out that it was early August or wait until after football season! Event is looking good so far, 2 SQL and 1 .Net tracks, and Patrick projecting attendance in the 75-100 range (and that might be conservative). The event is a project of the Baton Rouge SQL Server Users Group.

I’ve never been to Baton Rouge (or New Orleans either) and I’m tempted to go, but I’ve already committed to the South Fla #16 on August 8th. So many good events, so little time! I’ll see how the rest of my schedule is shaping up and try to make it work.
