replication

  • what is replication ?

    how to use replication ?

  • Replication is a feature of MSSQL using which you can replicate\transfer data across different database servers.

    Few Imp. terminologies are:

Publisher: The server which contains the data to be replicated.

Distributer: A server which collects the data and sends it to subscriber

Subscriber: The server which receives the data.

Two mainly used replication are: 1.Transactional(One Way) 2.Merge(Two Way)

Actually there a lot to read about it. its also very interesting.

you can get a lot of sites and books on net. Have a happy beginning:)
