Hello! I am trying to find a good source for getting some additional training in using SQL. I can develop in SAS and in SQL but I need to learn how to do some advanced SQL as well as learn how to create Stored Procedures and Views. Does anyone have any advice on any good companies that offer in class training?:ermm:

One way is to find a couple of good SQL Server programing blogs and just read them.
Also the SQL for smarties books are a good source even though they are not SQL Server specific.

I took a SQL course from HOTT and it was worth every penny.
Not only was the course useful, but when they cancelled the class that was being held in my area (rochester, ny), they paid for my flight and hotel to take the same course they were offering in Chicago.
Here a link to their site:

I took the SQL Server 2005 Dev and Admin course. It was a very high level introduction to 2005 (I know at the time, they offered courses that covered specfic topics in more depth). it was a week long course where there was lecture and labs. The labs had the following topics:
-installing SQL Server 2005
-Creating and managing databases
-SQL Management Objects
-Creating Stored procedures and Views
-working with XML data
-Implementing Full-Text indexes
-implementing security
-Database backups and mirroring
-Monitoring SQL servers
-Configuring replication
-working with SQL server integration services
-using analysis services
-creating reports and report models
-creating a notification service
-working with service broker

kstjacques,
Those you have listed do sound pretty intense but I looked on their website and they have a SQL Programming and Microsoft Transact SQL Programming courses that will I believe show me what I need. I am trying to definitely get some advanced programming skills, learn how to create views and stored procedures to fine tune my coding abilities.
Again thanks for the info.:-)
