Reporting Services Login box appears when trying to deploy in SSRS 2005

  I have sql 2005 reporting services installed on windows2008 server. When I try to

  deploy a solution in SSRS 2005, I get a dialog box with title:

  "Reporting Services Login". It has my server listed as the first row:

  "http://localhost/reportserver" and then it has two text boxes asking

  for Username and Password. No matter what userid/password I provide, I am not able to overcome this problem.

  You are developing in VS2005 which is not compatible with Win2008/Vista so you need to make sure IIS 7 is installed and configured in IIS 6 mode. You may also need to run aspnet_regiis in your .NET 2.0 folder in your c drive.
