SSAS Parent Child Hierarchy show another attribute, not the key field default

    hi

    i've created a parent-child hierarchy from a self referential table...

    the hierachy works...but it shows the key field (employeeID)

    i'm struggling to get it to show what i want (the employee name)

    if i change the KeyColumns property of the hierarchy...the thing stops becoming a hierarchy 🙁

    i'm sure there is a simple answer but i'm stumped...

    I know this is an old post but is there a better link or solution to this issue? I'm having the same issue. It just seems to ignore the Name Column value.

    i have a similar one now working...

    just make sure your key column is your key column and your NameColumn is your name...
