SQL 2005 RTM - SP2

    My version of SQL 2005 on my laptop is showing as:

    9.00.1406.00 RTM Developer Edition

    I've installed SP2 several times thinking that the above values would change, at least RTM change to SP2, but nothing happens.

    What am I missing?

    Is the developer instance running on your machine or on a remote server?

    Have you run SP2 and ensured that you updated the tools to SP2 as well? There is potentially an issue there.

    when you run the SP it gives you the details of any database instances and comonent tools. Re run it and post a screenshot can you

    I ended up uninstalling and then reinstalling SQL 2005. Whatever was the issue was resolved by taking this approach. Problem is resolved.

    Thanks for the update. My guess is there was some flakiness somewhere or you weren't querying what you thought you were, but glad it's working for you.
