Hi,
I was trying to set up data-driven subscriptions today. Then I
found out we have sql server standard and the data driven subscription
wizard link is grayed out. I was thinking that, since I know I can use
a report viewer in .net to view ssrs reports, is there a way I could
display a report, pass it parameters from an sql server table, and
then email it to an email address also in the table?
This is kludgey, I admit, but I can't use data driven
subscriptions. I have seen two articles that describe a hack which
allows you to find a report in the reporting database using the
subject and then adding the email address to a very long ntext field
by parsing it. It seems ingenious but a little clumsy and dangerous. I
would like to avoid this.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Neil
