My friend Chris loaned me his copy of eBoot Camp as I'm trying to strengthen what I consider to be my biggest single weak spot - marketing. The book covers the range of topics you might expect; buying domains, meta tags, using blogs and email newsletters, branding, search engine placement, and more. Most of it I was familiar with, but it was a good review and I made a few notes about things I need to revisit. I think if you're new to building a web brand this is a good starting point, gets you thinking about all the ways and places you should be using and cross linking your brand. It's not a book that will help you craft a marketing campaign, it's more about using the tools once you have some goals in mind.
I'll try to post soon about my thoughts on marketing & advertising, and my struggles with those!
