What is the equivalent of Lead / Lag (Oracle Analytics) in SQL Server 2008

  There isn't an equivalent. You have to self-join back to the table to get the previous or next record. Be careful doing this as it will tend to create triangular joins.

  SQL Server 2005 introduced partial support for the OVER clause and many important elements of the OVER clause are still missing, please read the following document from Itzik Ben-Gan:
