Can I use the SMSS 2008 client to administer my 2005 databases?

I believe you should be able to, just like you can use SQL 2005 SSMS to administer SQL 2000 database.
Just remember that there could be a few features that you cannot use on the non-SQL2008 database, but you should still be able to use the SQL 2005 features. This was much more of an issue with using SSMS on SQL 2000 database.

Also be aware that it won't connect to SSIS 2005.

Other than SSIS 2005 is there anything else that won't work?

Hard to know exactly what might not work. Not sure it's been exercised enough, but most things should work.

Anyone know where I can get a copy of SMSS 2008? Just to try of course...
