DB Model analysis

    Hi All,

    I would like to analyze the below DB.

    What is the first step that we need to follow when we analze a DB model ?

    Basically , how should we analyze the DB ? Do we need prior experience about DB Modeling ? Because i am new to DB modeling. if an unexperienced person want to start analysis work, then what he should do ? where from he should start ?

    Ideas,Suggestions and advices are welcome !

    First of all, what do you want to know? Do you want to understand the system and how it works? The diagram basically explained to me how the system worked. The relationship between tables, the PK and index and the foreign key are important element to look at in the diagram.

    Reveiwing a database schema absent any business requirements is difficult, perhaps impossible. Start with the business requirements.

    The more you are prepared, the less you need it.
