Can we start a list of recommended MSSQL 2005 performance tuning references?
The only rule and requirement I would stipulate is only recommended references that you have personally used yourself. Please don't recommend books if you really haven't read them.
We can group the recommendations into sections:
-> Books
-> Whitepapers/articles
-> Blogs
-> Websites
Thanks!

I think Craig Freedman's blog is excellent ... http://blogs.msdn.com/craigfr/archive/2006/06/07/620903.aspx

Hi Matt,
Thank you! You aren't kidding. The write-up on isolation level with example is excellent.
Thanks!

There are a number of white papers on Performance Tuning topics that show up on a search of microsoft's site.
SQL Server Internals (for 2k and 2k5) by Kalen Delaney. Ken Henderson's The Guru's Guide to SQL Server Architecture and Internals is top knotch.
Unfortunately since you didn't allow people on the list of references I must leave myself unmentioned. ;-))
