Hello Everyone,
I need some advice on this.
I would like to install SQL 2005 developer edition on a remote machine which has Windows 2005 server running on it. I dont have physical access to this server, it is sitting somewhere 100 miles away.
Is there any possibility to do this install?
Replies would be much appreciated.
Thanks a lot!!!

I haven't tried it, but the remote install should work. Haven't seen a lot of issues reported on it, though I doubt many people do use it.
What I would recommend is to get the SQL media to that machine, either download, have someone stick a CD in, etc. Then REmote Desktop (Term Service) to that machine and do the install that way. If your connection flakes, it should continue to run and you can connect back to it.

Thanks a lot for your reply Steve.
But I really would like to try and install it remotely, I want to experiment you see.
After struggling a lot for couple of hours I had to give up and follow the procedure as you advised.
But if anyone can give me any idea or can direct me to that, will be great.
cheers!!
