Error updating SQL Server Tools and Workstation Components

  Hi

  Tried to apply SP2(x64) to update SQL Server Tools and Workstation Components (all other components are on SP2) what fails with the error:

  Product: Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Tools (64-bit) -- Error 29549.

  Failed to install and configure assemblies C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\90\NotificationServices\9.0.242\Bin\microsoft.sqlserver.notificationservices.dll

  in the COM+ catalog. Error: -2147024894

  Error message: The system cannot find the file specified.

  Error description: Could not load file or assembly 'System.EnterpriseServices.Wrapper.dll' or one of its dependencies.

  The system cannot find the file specified.

  The same after registering the dll with:

  %windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\RegSvcs.exe /fc "c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\90\NotificationServices\9.0.242\Bin\microsoft.sqlserver.notificationservices.dll"

  Does anybody know how to fix this?

  It was something with the .NET Framework. After repair the installation was sucessfull.
