Problem while emailing a report.

  • Hi,

    I'm trying to email and schedule a report on a remote server. When i add a subscription for this and schedule it i dont get any email to my id and also in the 'Status' tab of 'My Subscription' page shows the status as 'new subscription'. It does not throw any error or any information of its run. What can i do to get and schedule a email. Please help me on this.

  • If you are trying to email and schedule a report on a remote server you have to change the configurations settings for email server.

    You must RSReportServer.config file which is in Reporitn Services folder

    you got to check out the article "Setting Configuration options for email delivery" in books online

    I had changed the following in my RSReportServre.config

    Send using , the value i set it to 2 (THis is very important when you configure email delivery on remote server as the value is 1 for local smtp service)

    send emailto useralias as false and

    Default hostname = SMTP server

    Check that smtp server is
