Login failure

    Error:

    Failed to login user 'Domain\userid' [Client: ]

    the above account is part of the local admin and SQL builtin admin group.....and exec a couple SQL jobs sucessfully. But event logs is still recording login failures for this account every minute or so (the account is also used by sharepoint).

    any clues as to why this errors is popping up?

    Not enough information.

    Can you post the message 1 line above that in the error log. The one that reads Error ... Severity .. State ...

    With a login failure, the state (as given in the error log) is a code for why the login failed.
