Hi All, I'm a newbie in SQL server reporting services 2005 and was trying to plot a column chart with irregular intervals, but could not find any solution.
For example, I have varied data for x-axis and want to plot columns at points 1, 5, 11, 20, 22, 25, 31,etc. on x-axis. Is it possible to do this using reporting services 2005?
Thanks in advance.

You might get a better response if this was in the Reporting Services 2005 forum, however the only initial way of doing this is to have then detailed in a table (the plots you wish to use) join on the result set without knowing why you want to do this or your queries involved etc my answer can only be vague. But be aware that the chart services in SSRS 2005 are VERY limited! Bear this in mind...
Can you post some more detail over what it is you are trying to do etc...

Thanks for the reply :). To make the situation more clear, one of my clients wants to show additional vertical grid lines in a line chart (Reporting services 2005) so as to distinguish some special points on the x-axis. Basically what he needs are two series on the x-axis, one on which the original line chart would be plotted and the second one to show particular points on the axis with the help of vertical lines. These points could be at unequal/irregular intervals. The problem is I can't figure out a way as to how to plot vertical lines at irregular intervals over and above the primary line chart.
