How would I affect a change for the BackupDir, DataDir and LogDir on our existing Analysis Server from residing on the C drive to another drive that contains much more space? Using properties, I tried changing the value for each but it returns to original value. Can anyone help?

In order to perform the following steps:
1. In the SSAS Server instance properties change the value for the directory with the new location
2. Stop the SSAS instance
3. Move the folders, files, and data to the new locations
4. Start the SSAS instance back up
That is all you need to do. As always I would recommend making a backup of any SSAS databases that you currently have setup prior to making any changes like this.

Thanks for the help. This SSAS has no data yet. It is just a copy of our current SSAS and cube build. I had been able to do a restore, but a sync causes problems because there is no space, which is the reason I need to move the data and log directories.
