I asked question while back about Log PI tool, it did not get any replies but I found out it is no longer supported and developed. Now I would like some feedback about other tools that can help with log recovery. I heard about Lumigent, Red Gate and Apex SQL. Any more alternatives? Also I would like your feedback about customer support, pricing, updates, features etc.

Ok I took your advice and checked articles.
Found review for: Red gate, Apex, Lumigent and Log PI.
Log PI - contacted no longer supported / developed
Lumigent Log Explorer - no support for 2k5, no reply to e-mail when it will be supported for a week now
Red Gate Log Rescue - did not manage to start it on SQL2000, posted issue on their forums, no feedback and no info on site when they will support SQL2k5
ApexSQL Log - did not try it yet as I was busy with other tools, but at least a big plus for supporting 2k5
Is that all on the market? Any tools I should value above others for some special features?

Out of the tools you mentioned, RedGate's was the only one to start up immediately for me and that was on a cluster and stand-alone servers. The 2k5 support is due very soon from what I understand and they are currently doing beta testing on it from the last I heard.

ApexSQL Log has a 30 day full featured version available. I've looked at it in the past, but that was an older version. I have the newest version, but I've honestly not had time to put it through its paces. The Lumigent tool is good, I've tested it, but it is pricey. At my PASS chapter meeting this past Thursday I heard good things about the Red Gate product. So I think all three will do the job... unless you're in a bind I'd recommend demo'ing 'em all and going with the one you feel is the best bang for the buck.

what have you heard lately about Log Rescue sql 2005 support?
